Criminology
Criminology is the critical analysis of crime as a social phenomenon, and it examines how society defines and responds to crime, including social, political, and economic forces shaping criminalization and the U.S. punishment system. The program encourages students to participate in community-based learning as a part of their degree.
Sociology and Justice Studies
Sociology and justice studies explores how people shape society and how society shapes individuals. It analyzes connections between personal lives and the broader social world, applying sociological thinking to understand and challenge injustice and to promote social change. The program encourages students to participate in community-based learning as a part of their degree.
