To be a successful business partner in their organization, today’s graduates need to have a set of business competencies and ethical standards to enable them to engage with other leaders in the organization. Basic competencies include a well-rounded business acumen that results from financial literacy, an understanding of business operations/processes, exposure to data analytics and metrics as well as the development of leadership skills centered in an ethical/values-based environment. The MBA common core lays the foundation for all MBA graduates so that they will leave the University with these competencies. The Graduate Certificate provides the same strong foundation for students who desire a certificate rather than a degree, or who cannot afford or take the time to complete a full MBA program.
