Post-Graduate Academic Certificate in Child-Centered Play Therapy

The Certificate in Child-Centered Play Therapy is offered at the Regis Interprofessional Health Campus in Thornton and includes 12 graduate credit hours. This Certificate can be completed by current master's students or by clinicians in the community seeking to strengthen their child-centered play therapy skills (i.e., clinicians including clinicians-in-training, counselors, social workers, psychologists, etc.). The University Center for Counseling, Family and Play Therapy earned designation as an Approved Center of Play Therapy Education by the Association for Play Therapy (APT). Therefore, students completing the Child-Centered Play Therapy certificate meet the academic requirements for the Registered Play Therapy (RPT) national certification through the Association for Play Therapy (APT).
