The Master of Arts in Counseling is CACREP accredited as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree program. The MAC course work fulfills the academic requirements of the State of Colorado Licensing Board necessary to apply for and sit for the examination for the Colorado Professional Counselor License. Students enrolled in the MAC degree program must complete the Supervised Practicum and Supervised Internship placement at an approved site authorized by the program’s Practicum and Clinical Coordinators. Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE) must be completed between Counseling Techniques I (MCPY 635 Counseling Techniques I) and completion of Counseling Internships. Interprofessional Education required prior to graduation.
